Our clients have had some wonderful things to say about our partnership and we appreciate their support.

Take Stock in Children is technically not a client but they are near and dear to our hearts. The organization provides post-high school scholarships for deserving students enabling them to become productive members of our community. The CommConnection is proud to have sponsored a team, The Quintessential Queens, for the last three years in the TSIC Corporate Spelling Bee and we are fierce competitors! In fact, we even got a little press of our own for our 2012 efforts inThe Daily Commercial. The Queens will be back in 2013!

How do you compete with Disney when you're a small theme park in its shadow? You don't. However, Old Town Theme Park in Kissimmee celebrated its 25th year in business by acknowledging the traffic that the mega-attractions in Orlando bring. That caught the attention of financial website TheStreet.com.

A New Jersey teenager is living his dream by attending the coveted GRAMMY Foundation camp. He's on the road to becoming a star music performer and we thought his community would be thrilled with this honor. And they were! WABC New York is among several broadcast and print media who covered Austin Taylor (July 2011).

Recent national news reports have shed negative light on innovative minimally invasive spine procedures which can help return patients to pain-free lives. The physicians of Gulfcoast Spine Institute, part of the #1 Spine Team in Florida, wanted to educate the public about the advances in these procedures while providing pointed questions patients and families should ask. In June 2011, the Citrus County Chronicle published this helpful information.

Dr. Neuzil's Irrigator nasal cleansing spray earned editorial coverage in two, key industry publications: Progressive Grocer andVitamin Retailer, helping to attract new distribution sites. An extensive feature in the Orlando Sentinel helped drive customers to those retailers.

"Surf's Up in Kissimmee" was the headline in the October 22nd edition of the Orlando Sentinel. Both the Orlando daily and it's spanish-language sister paper, El Sentinel sent reporters to cover the opening of Central Florida's newest and most thrilling water attraction, Fantasy Surf at FantasyWorld Resort.

We contacted Nanci Schwartz with the CommConnection to help us revamp our marketing materials. We take great pride in our professionalism and wanted our brochures and website to portray just that. Nanci was wonderful to work with! She patiently spent time with us to better understand our business and our needs. From that, she developed two different brochures to represent the two different lines of work we perform. She nailed it! Nanci was easy to work with, quickly understood our needs, made excellent suggestions, and completed the project in a timeframe that exceeded our expectations.

The Orlando FOX affiliate is excited about the Ultimate Indoor Wave.  Efforts to generate publicity for the new Fantasy Surf at FantasyWorld Resort venue caught the attention of WOFL-TV.  This news story that aired September 16, 2010 is an excellent promotion for the attraction (and it doesn't open until October 22nd).

Getting newspaper coverage of a new product complete with color images is an accomplishment. Getting the article on the front page of the newspaper is something to shout about.
Dr. Neuzil's Irrigator is an herbal-enhanced nasal cleansing spray that rinses out dust and irritants that make breathing difficult while opening up sinuses and moisturizing nasal passages. It was created by Ed Neuzil, a Lake County, Fla. medical practitioner who specializes in allergy, asthma and sinus conditions.

As a result of The CommConnection’s efforts, MadeinUSA.com was featured in more than 60 national broadcast, print and web sites and blogs. FOX NewsChannel’s extensive coverage of MadeinUSA.com as part of the cable channel’s focus on jobs in America was certainly the most significant accomplishment of the campaign.

In addition to the media outreach, MadeinUSA.com has benefited from your counsel with regards to the web site and e-mail communications to registered businesses, Patriots and via Facebook. The combined media exposure and direct outreach increased traffic to the web site considerably. It also generated more than double the number of signed-up Patriots and Facebook fans and we’ve enjoyed a steady increase in new manufacturers registering to join the MadeinUSA.com database.

Having your company showcased on FOX News Channel is something to be proud of. Being featured six times in one day is cause for celebration!

On October 14, MadeinUSA.com was profiled as part of FOX’s series on American jobs because of the company’s mission to educate consumers about the importance of buying American-made products.

As a result of FOX’s coverage, the MadeinUSA.com web site enjoyed five times the amount of traffic and signed up thousands of new businesses to its database of U.S. companies.

"The CommConnection helped us focus our message to reflect our primary mission and allow the community to clearly understand who we are and what we do. Nanci asked the hard questions and helped us focus our communications and goals. As a result of our communication efforts, membership remained strong in an economy where significant decline had been anticipated."

"The CommConnection consulted with us on the many different social networks out there and which ones might be a good fit for our yoga retail and resource web site.

Since implementing our Social Media Strategy we have expanded the presence of lovepeaceyoga.com around the Globe, from Mozambique to New Zealand. We work with yoga studios worldwide and post information about Yoga workshops we otherwise wouldn't have access to.

We now have relationships with prominent members of the Yoga community we otherwise would not have met were it not for Social Media. More importantly, our retail strategy, finding new yoga studios who want to sell our custom-made Yoga Sling Mat Bags and has attracted interest from Nova Scotia to Africa."

Initiative to educate heirs about the benefits of a reverse mortgage for senior citizen included development of an informational audio cast that was posted on the Citizens First Wholesale Mortgage (The Villages, FL) web site. The information directly led to increased interest in reverse mortgages from family members seeking financial solutions for their elderly loved one.

"Nanci Schwartz and The CommConnection took our event to a whole new media level. She tugged at the hearts of donors and participants by capturing the life of a local child with cancer and highlighting how ACS has made a difference for him. As a result, the 2008 Lake and Sumter Cattle Baron's Ball enjoyed more than triple the media exposure that our fundraising event has ever had. Not only did we receive inquiries about the event from new participants and donors, we also had an opportunity to give additional media exposure to our top sponsors."

"Nanci consistently provided strong senior communications counsel to the business during our tenure at Sprint. At the same time, she earned a reputation for execution and follow-through. In particular, her expertise in crisis communications surrounding natural disasters was an invaluable asset to the team and to the company. On numerous occasions, she was called upon to serve as the company's ‘ambassador' in the community, and she possessed an ability to build lasting and mutually beneficial relationships that reflected both her dedication to achieving the company's goals and her genuine sense of caring and exceptional people skills."

pencilwriting3  Consider this: the way you communicate or market an idea is a lot like the popular children's game
"connect-the-dots." If you successfully draw the lines between all of the numbered dots on a page, you end up with the complete picture.

An over-simplification, perhaps, but effective communication is very similar. When you reach more people with your message, then the picture you want to create is more defined and understood.

In the business realm, communications strategy is much more serious and complicated. People are blasted with information by so many different sources, you need to ensure that your message is distributed clearly and strategically.

The more effectively you reach your target audiences, the better your rate of impact and the more complete the "picture."

You need to connect the dots.

Sometimes you need a partner to help you develop and implement strong communications initiatives. You may be a marketing director who also has to focus on core business or a small business with no internal marketing staff.

You want a professional who is motivated, experienced and who makes your goals her own.
